I really hope to god that rumor about Gordon Hayward/Paul George is true. Getting to semis on a rebuild year is nice and all but the Celtics are a Boston team so if they're not championship contenders then I'm not happy.

Nah, part of the problem was that he was the only starter who could make his own shot, so teams would just play tight d or double up on him because of his height. I don't really get how you're gonna claim last year proves he can't be a champ contender when he carried 4 literal who's on bloated contracts to the ECF. Sure they only took a game off Cleveland when he was on the bench but remember him being off the court forced them to play hot potato which effectively changed the teams gameplan.

All I'm saying is adding another high caliber guy or two would alleviate pressure off IT. That's the key, and part of the reason why people were sad that a trade for Jimmy Butler didn't happen.
