So to clear things up. TeamSpeak cost nothing! It is free and will continue to be free for us. It gets roped into server costs so it is little to nothing when you incorporate our servers into the equation.

As for why TeamSpeak is better than Discord?

I would like everyone to use TeamSpeak because I can guarantee your safety and privacy. The server is hosted directly by SmG and for SmG. Every message you send or thing you say on TeamSpeak will 100% be confidential and private. Discord is relayed through their own servers and can be logged or documented. This includes downloads as well as text chat. This is the only reason why I see TeamSpeak being better. If you are okay with everything you are say and type being logged then Discord is fine. If you want to have privacy then TeamSpeak if a better option.

As a guy who used teamspeak and skype as a way of communicating , I much preferred skype , and now with discord it's much easier to do stuff.
I used skype for a loooong time , but the transition to discord with all my friends took like 2 days , and we now have a server with ~30 people.
I do not use teamspeak and that's why I never come there , but if people wanna stay there , its ok , no one has to be forced to change for everyone.
