Honestly, I'm really not that impressed. The fans have been calling for this for YEARS. And it gives them an opportunity to also sell it as a ticket to the next beta.
Not for nothing, but I felt the whole Microsoft conference was not really that thrilling.

EXACTLY. They need to invest and strengthen in new and fresh IPs.
They're doing it just to impress and regain the people they lost during that whole DRM debacle. And believe me, they lost people because of that.
