The right to bear arm is important. It was first created if the balance of power is broken. Reason why anyone can set up a militia. If the government ever became to powerful the citizens have protection. Now there are people there with mental health but that's not the gun problem. Guns don't kill people. People kill people. I mean do I see people opposing knives because of stabbings?

And don't get started that a burglar, criminal, or thief, will not have a gun if they are illegal. It doesn't matter if they are illegal, a criminal will break the law regardless.

lol if guns were illegal the only people who'd have them would be criminals(black market) and the government. I don't own a gun because I don't feel the need to, but plenty of my friends go hunting/shoot trap on a regular basis. If guns are used properly there's nothing wrong with them. I think everyone should have the right to protect themselves if need be.

Remember guys, they banned guns in Britian and gun crime went down!!!1!1!!

No fucking shit Sherlock. But the number of stabbings, and actual blue collar crime in general, spiked.

It used to take just some scrap metal and a $500-$1000 bullet press to make a gun. Now it doesn't even take that, you can 3-D print one for even cheaper.

But you can just ban all that too guys. Because remember, criminals follow the law.

In Australia gun regulations are ridiculously tight, which is good, the only civilians that have guns are those that use it for hunting. If you have a gun it needs to be locked away in a safe, the more dangerous the gun the more secure the safe has to be to prevent criminals from stealing them.
There's no need for a gun if no one has one.
