Re: GTX 1080

It's what you should expect when you buy the top of the line and pay the price premium. Imo, im leaning more to picking up a 980 ti around ~$300 as when the 1080 ti does come up, the 1080 and 1070 would also get a price cut.

Why not grab a 1070? It's still more powerful than a 980ti, you'd be paying a few more, but getting the new features, and a bump in performance. If you can't spend the extra bit, then that makes sense, but if you can, then might as well go for it

EDIT:

SmG Slingin Wrote:^two? Why not wait for 1080ti. Seems like a huge waste of cash

I'd rather not wait close to a year to grab a 1080ti. And by then, I'd end up selling the 2 1080's about 2 months before the release of the ti, only losing out on a couple hundred. Not that big of a waste if you need the power now and can't wait imo.

ill prob have to wait until july to pick one up since all the aibs are gonna be out of stock for a couple of months after release
i could prob pick up the founders edition but i prefer custom coolers for better power delivery, overclocking, and temps

Re: GTX 1080

The i3 will struggle to maintain 60FPS in modern compute intensive multi-player games.
