This is a guide to the User CP!

What it will show:
- Learn to send Inboxes
- Learn to change Your Profile - Signatures, Avatars, Passwords and Emails
- Learn to Manage Drafts

Overview
The first step is to click on the "User CP" Button at the top left of your screen. 

After clicking on User CP, there should be a sidebar available. This guide will explain the uses of important options in the menu.

Inbox and Messaging
You've got mail! Or maybe not, maybe you want to send some instead. Maybe you want to slide into some DMs.

Compose
This is where you can begin a private message to any user on the forums. After clicking on "Compose", it will open up this window.

A - Recipient
This is who your message is sent to, make sure you type the user correctly to ensure it is delivered to the right person. 
3 characters or more must be typed for a list of users to be shown in a drop-down menu. 

B - Subject
The subject of your message goes here, make sure it is relevant so the recipient can understand what you want to talk about.

C - Emojis 
Go ham or go home. Add your own flare to things.

D - Body 
This is where your message will go. 

Remember to check your options and tick the ones relevant to you.


Once you are done with your message. There will be some more options.
You can either hit "Send Message" to send it or "Save As Draft" to store it to send later.
You can also hit "Preview" to see what your message will look like to the recipient.

Inbox
This is where all your received messages are kept. Things like awards given and friend requests will also be shown here.
Sub-categories of the inbox include:
1. Sent 
- Messages sent out, you can review them here.
2. Draft 
- Messages you've stored for sending later.
3. Trash Can
- Messages you've deleted, just in case you accidentally delete something!

Profile
Changing your Profile
All important display information in your profile will be shown here. Click "Edit Profile".

A - Change Your Email
Click "here" and refer to the "Change Your Password" guide below.

B - Optional Fields
Where you can put in your date of birth (if you want). 
You can choose from the drop down menu on whether to display your date of birth or not, there are 3 options.
- Display Age and Date of Birth
- Hide Age and Date of Birth
- Display Only Age 

You can also add in a website link here.

C - Additional information
This is where you add in your location, usernames, IGNs and other accounts (so members can find you if they want to play games with you!)

D - Additional Contact Information
This is for more ways to contact you, on less important platforms.

E - Away Information
This is where you can set an away status if you're going to be on break/inactive. 
You can add in a date as well so members know when to expect your return!

Changing Your Password
If you feel the need to change your password, click "Change your Password".

This window will open:


Put your current password in. And then put your new password in both boxes below and click "Update Password". 

Changing Your Email
If you feel the need to change your password, click "Change your Email".

This window will open:

Put your current password in. And then put your new email address in both boxes below and click "Update Email Address". 

Changing Your Avatar
If you feel the need to change your avatar, click "Change Avatar".

It will take you to this window: 


Upload your avatar by pressing "Choose File" and then press "Change Avatar" to complete the process. 
You can also remove your avatar with "Remove Avatar".

Note: While images that are beyond 200 x 200 will be resized automatically. If you're feeling crispy and want to add a GIF as an avatar (which you can how cool is that!) the GIF has to be exactly 200 x 200 and under 1,000 KB in size or it won't be animated. However if you have a cool GIF that you want to use but its over 200 x 200, you'll need to resize it.

Some sites for this are:
- http://resizeimage.net/ is a great site you can use to crop/edit the image/GIF to 200 x 200
- http://www.simpleimageresizer.com/ is also good just upload the image, click the dimensions option, then type it in and boom! you are good to go.

Changing your Signature
So after being in SmG for sometime I'm sure you've seen some of our members with amazing signatures/avatars and you may wonder. How can I get one of those? Well you've come to the right place, we'll show you how its done.

1. Creating a signature.
This can either be the hardest/easiest part, if you are good with Photoshop or any photo editing tool to be honest you can make yourself a grand spanking signature. We also do have certain SmG Members (e.g. SmG Battlefire, SmG CCPrincess) who are willing to help you make a signature as well (if they are available). If you don't want a custom signature however, you can simply just rip an image off Google or somewhere cool, that's also fine. You do you!

Note: If you rip an image of google you don't need to download it, just right click it and select copy image location.
Note: Images will be automatically scaled so don't worry about that.

2. Uploading the signature to the forums.
It will take you to this window:

 
If you ripped the image off google you can copy and paste and you will be done, however custom made signatures need to be uploaded. 
You can do this by using sites such as tiny pic (http://tinypic.com/) or lightshot (https://app.prntscr.com/en/index.html).
You can also upload the image to discord, right click it, click open link then right click it again and click copy image location and you will be fine. 
Afterwards just click "Update Signature" and boom you have your amazing signature. <3

You can also preview your signature and see what it will look like before publishing by clicking "Preview Signature".

3. Bask in its Glory
Now you can see your signature all over forums and stare at its gloriousness.
