If you get banned for what ever reason, there are going to be different bans per user, per offence.

Here are the base ban times.
1st - 15 minutes
2nd - 1 hour
3rd - 6 hours
4th - 2 days
5th - 1 week
6th - 2 weeks
7th - 1 month
8th - 3 months
9th - 6 months
10th - 1 year
Anymore after that, is permanent.
I doubt anyone will ever get half those bans, but, the rules are simple and should be very easy to follow.
