Yesh, i use Adobe AE as well ~ AE ( after effects ) isn't really the app I'd use for logo creating, but it's deff one of the best apps to design on right under Photoshop

Well for drawing I personally use photoshop.
But for logo design I would recommend illustrator.
Illustrator is vector based, photoshop is pixel based.
Do it have a difference when you begin to manipulate with it.

Yeah, if you want a free program, paint.net ain’t bad either.
And it’s pretty easy to learn
