Fate of Carl and Vercetti

After GTA VC and SA, GTA V became famous ( more than IV, I think). But Tommy Vercetti and Carl Johnson will always be in our hearts. What do you think happened to them? Do you happen to know any Easter eggs about them in GTA IV and V?
