So i have a i5 8600k oc to 5ghz stable, idle around 25-28c and in game or under load up words of 45-50c, my friend told me that if i delid my cpu i could achieve even lower thermals, i watched alot of videos and there people taking knifes and stuff and shoving it under the heat sink, is there any safer way to do this because i would be the one to some how get a hole through my cpu! 50c is a very good temp to be running at, little known fact CPU's preform better under heat.

Also your CPU has a max temp of 100c before it turns off so i think your okay.

I think they make tools specifically for deliding cpus. Using a knife is a good way to hurt yourself and destroy a cpu though

yeah im not doing it, donald said that it my temps are fine so im just going to stick with stock

the site siliconelottery sometimes have discounts for delidding if you're really interested, I can vouch for them and they're very well known for professional delidding. 30$ for a good cpu delid that can give you extra OC whether thats worth it for you is up to you.

If you're getting those temps, there's no point of deliding your CPU and cool it even further. It's a pretty dangerous process.

There are tools made for deliding any type of cpu but i don't recommend you try this. Your temps are pretty good so there is no need for such an action to be executed.

You dont need to deidle your cpu. 50 degrees is fine on gaming. Only do it if you overclock alot.
