I'm thinking of getting pubg but hesitated  on getting it is it worth buying

Yeah, it's pretty good, I enjoyed it. It's just Fortnite without building (in my opinion they're both basically the same, don't shoot me)

I played it on mobile I'm way better on pubg then I am on fn lol

I'd like to add to my other post that in PUBG you can go prone so that's a 10/10 bit in Fortnite you can only crouch 5/10

Depends. Personally I prefer games with more realistic graphics and physics and that is why I prefer pubg over fortnite. 
It's better and has a comparatively more mature player base compare to fortnite. 
Plus, you get CHICKEN DINNER. 
I mean... What's better than that?!
