I already tried troubleshooting a while ago. It only said that there was an issue with the router (which there’s not). I think I’m gonna trust Nukem on this one. I know my adapter is up to date, I checked in device manager, and also uninstalled and made Windows install a new one, which was the exact same. And I do not want to hard reset lol. My laptop is pretty old, so going off Nukem’s idea, does anyone know what cable I could use to connect to router to the laptop, and how I can reenable the WiFi transmitter?

Two things you can do at this point

  1. Press Windows key + R.

  2. Type devmgmt.msc and press Enter.

  3. Expand the Network Adapters section.

  4. Right-click on the name of your network adapter.

  5. Choose Properties.

  6. Click on the Advanced tab.

  7. Highlight Country and Region.

  8. Choose the entry according to your location.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1. Open the Start Menu and type Command Prompt.

  2. Right-click on the top link and select Run as administrator.

  3. Type netsh advfirewall set allprofiles state off and press Enter.

  4. Test whether internet access is now working.
Also check to see if your AntiVirus is blocking internet access.
Hmm, I turned off the firewall but it still isn’t working, and there is no country and region selection on the advanced properties of my adapter. Any other suggestions? Sorry if I’m bugging you but I’m really anxious.

RE: WiFi Problems

Can you plug yourself with lan? Go into you router and factory reset it. Your router could be blocking your computer from the network. Have you tried other wifi's? Try hotspot from your phone to test your adapter.

RE: WiFi Problems

Maybe you need to buy a wifi usb adapter  ;) it may work, it uses USB to connect something to the internet.

It's fine really- idk mate from here take it to a shop or something because you either need to get a new computer or fix it. This seems like a really bad hardware issue that can't be fixed without taking apart the computer

Sorry for the late response,

depending on your issue, you could search Google and see what other people have to say about it.

If you could give me a screenshot of the problem/what's going on (explination) I can try to help you out
