Incorrect, the plugin has never actually existed on SmG.

There's actually multiple ways to track users who have changed their username, it's a lot less confusion than everyone thinks:

• Username Change History List
  
• By adding them to your buddy list
  
• Their UID stays the same, so finding them would be easy
  

Edit: This way, there's actually a paper trial if you want to find someone. Atm admins change a username and there's no username history.

I don't think everyone should be given that coz that will create mess and everday names will be changing.. will create a problem. Well you can give to mod and supports that permission .

If you give the permissions for Senior Members and higher to change their usernames then it could be looked at as a perk for either becoming staff or sticking around long enough.
This would also eliminate newer members from constantly changing their name because they can.

Aside from it being a perk for Snr Members +, each user will have a certain limit per month as to how many times they can change their username.

It is too much work really to know who is who and giving everyone a name change wouldnt be that bad or good in limited quantities like 1 name change or something after that they should ask someone above to change it or like 1 name change in a month or something that would still work.
Just make those name changes limited so they cant change names every minute or hour just make once only or something like one a month or something of that sort
