Growing up, never once was I grounded, but disciplined. I'm just hearing this now that people are still being grounded... in 2019.  Some of the "worst" things that are done to them is getting their phones taken away or maybe shut off the internet for a few hours.  

For me, if you are disciplined ( not abused, big difference ), you actually learn from your mistakes and it makes you remember to not do it again.

Never been grounded my entire life but rather hit with a pipe or probably just wood cane real hard that sometimes I bleed :D because I did something wrong. But hey that made me into the man I am right now and im grateful for that :D

I've been grounded quite a bit growing up. My dad was pretty strict with me and often I found myself sent to my room for the rest of the day. I don't think I turned out too bad...
