I know this seems like a really stupid idea but hear me out: I think we should have the ability to help mods and admins comment on ban appeals.
The reason i feel like we should do this is because there are many different situations where other members saw what happened during the banning of the other member and could provide their own incite on the situation. IM NOT SAYING THAT THE MODS OR ADMINS HAVE TO LISTEN TO THE OTHERS BECAUSE THEIR CHOICE IS FINAL, but i think it's kind of an idea to think of.
The staff team have their arsenal of tools to investigate and determine what happened in any ban appeal. Further more, if a person has created a ban appeal, that means they have been banned, which means the staff have some sort of concrete evidence of rule-breaking. So given we already have the evidence we need, why would we need further input from members?
We also have something I like to call "Standard of Proof". This comes in the following forms: Screenshots, Audio/Video Recordings and Staff Witnesses.
This is nothing short of a terrible idea. No, no and no.

Knew you would say that, thanks for commenting it anyways
The reason for members not being able to post on ban appeals is due to past problems caused by those involved in the ban.
Members would often continue the drama on the ban appeal ending in a long thread of he said she said type posts which added nothing to the ban appeal.
It was decided then that no members would be allowed to post on ban appeals.
If you have info that you think staff don't know about then you can contact staff by PM instead of posting on the ban appeal.
Don't piss off old people.
The older we get the less "life in prison" is a deterrent.
I reckon this would cause problems if this came into play, major problems. So I reckon this is not the best of ideas, coming from experience on other websites / forums / servers.
