I own a firestick and I've tried a hell load of casting apps to cast my screen to it. All of the apps that I've tried simply let me cast pics and videos but not my entire screen as a whole. Until, yesterday I found a solution to this.

Most people who own a firestick would already know this. But I didn't. So, this post is intended for those poor souls like mine.


I'll give you a stepwise procedure on 'How to cast your entire screen to a firestick'.

Step 1

Open your firetv stick and go to settings. 



Step 2

Go to display settings 


Step 3

Select enable screen mirroring 


Step 4

Install a screen mirroring client in your laptop or mobile. Then connect, you can now cast your entire screen rather than just pictures and videos. Easy as pie. Please note that your laptop and firestick has to be connected to the same wifi network for this to work. 


So, you can play games and do everything that you do in your laptop without connecting an hdmi to your tv.

It is for windows. All you have to do is connect. However, Mac, iOS and android is a different scenario. I personally own a mac book air. I needed a client to do that.

No problem, I edited this. But it didn't save I guess.
But just so you know. I wouldn't buy amazon fire products. The google Chromecast and Nvidia shield do what amazon products do but better.
Plus you don't have to worry about losing or charging a controller with Chromecast you just use your phone.

But that being said. I do have the fire cube it is good for giving older tv's the ability to turn them on and off through voice activation and what not.

it wasn't a pc problem
