The new strain in UK has reached my country, fortunately the infected passengers didn't get pass the airport terminal. The upcoming vaccine is inefficient against the new strain, so I don't think it would make much of a difference. Nonetheless, it's absolutely important that we take it. Social distancing is the only way we can tackle this at the moment. Don't take COVID for granted.
This is false, the vaccine should still be effective against the new strain. The vaccines create different antibodies after immunization.
They've worked on a different strain all this time, they're claiming it to be and I quote "most likely effective against the new strain", The more mutation the virus undergoes, lesser the effect the vaccines would have on the pathogen.
