Thing about vaccines is that they're restricted to specific strains. Different strains need different vaccines. The new strain in UK has reached my country, fortunately the infected passengers didn't get pass the airport terminal. The upcoming vaccine is inefficient against the new strain, so I don't think it would make much of a difference. Nonetheless, it's absolutely important that we take it. Social distancing is the only way we can tackle this at the moment. Don't take COVID for granted.

From my understanding, even if you receive the vaccine you still need to social distance, wear masks, etc. The vaccine protects YOU from actually contracting the virus (you won't get sick), but it does not prevent you from spreading it.

UK's health services and hospitals are in an overwhelming state now. And about the vaccine, I don't trust that thing. Viruses develop and a vaccine is made to counter the virus we've discovered. If that develops, it could mean the vaccine wouldn't do shit lol.

They've worked on a different strain all this time, they're claiming it to be and I quote "most likely effective against the new strain", The more mutation the virus undergoes, lesser the effect the vaccines would have on the pathogen.
