550 Ti 1 GB would be better than that ... You don't need extra memory on it, it's pretty ineffective.

No, Optimus is stupid. You can't run Halo 2 (one game I know of) with it, the game doesn't support interchangeable graphics.

I think your MoBo supports Lucid Virtu, so if you think you need to install it.

The new driver update from Nvidia lets even H2V run on Optimus. Ask Vader, I told him about the driver and it worked for him.

Zero has Optimus, and his wouldn't work, maybe they updated it, like Recon said? I don't know, but Optimus is a piece of shit.
