People don't know what these terms are so I will tell you.

"In online gaming, Lag is a term used to describe delays between the action of players and the reaction of the server (and vice versa). Although it is commonly used to refer to delays caused by high latency, it is occasionally used to describe delays caused by insufficient processing power in the client and/or server. While all communication between a client and server, or even between hardware components in the same machine, will experience a certain amount of lag, the term is usually reserved for delays noticeable to the user."

"Both the "ping" and "tracert" commands will help you measure latency, also known as "lag."

"When you are playing HALO or some other game in an online forum your game console must communicate with another game console over the internet.
Your console and the other console alternate giving and receiving bits of information at a rate (in milliseconds) that is measured by what we call a "ping rate."
The lower your "ping" rate is the better and faster your game will be at eliminating "lag." ("Lag" is when you notice a delay before your game reacts to your commands.)
Most players will not play a game that has a high ping rate because lag takes all the fun out of a game. (Someone with lots of lag due to a high ping rate will usually lose a game because a player with no lag simply walks up to a slow moving player and kills them!)

The path taken to connect the two consoles described above includes "servers." Each server is also called a "hop." Long distances between the two consoles require more hops. Many "hops" can slow down the speed at which information is exchanged between the two consoles and add to lag.

Always check the ping rate and choose to play games with the lowest rate you can find. High ping rates put you at a distinct disadvantage!

You can have stable ping, like 67-100 and still lag and warp.
Although I have the rough idea,I am not pretty sure how it happens, so, can't say much.

atm I have 267 ping and lag alot!

You and alloy allows have 200 ping and you both lag.

It does but not completely, i have got lag, warp and no reg despite 33-65-134 ping
