Hello, I tried to join a game in progress today and noticed that I was banned from your server. This probably happened upwards of 2 years ago, but apparently you guys never clean your banned list... so yeah...
I have no idea why I was banned, but it annoys me that the ban remains after all these years.
My name in game has always been Lolligag9.

My question to you is: Why don't you wipe the ban list every so often? Is it so important to keep people banned from the server that probably don't even play anymore?

Anyways, to wipe the ban list would allow cheaters and hackers to keep coming back. Why sweep dirt into a hall way, close the door, then open the door later just to have that same dirt to blow back in? If you were banned it was for a reason. As I do not have access to the server logs, nor do I believe we have the logs extending far back as two year, and u list no specific ban date, I highly doubt you will be unbanned. But we shall see, for that server is Trinity's.

We mean the server has not been used for a time frame of 2 years. I joined the clan last year and it wasn't there when I joined. It was pretty recent that this server was added to our roster. And even at that, it's had some significant up time and down time.

I'm locking this thread until Trinity can shed some light on the subject. But, let it be known, you have not provided sufficient information, so there's not a lot we can do to act on it.

Keep in mind, if you downloaded your CD key, you WILL NOT be unbanned. We're not unbanning a pirated key, because of the opportunity for the true hacker to return to our servers.

What he means is that SmG Oz was only started last June so your statement about being banned 2 years ago is impossible.
If you have a cracked cd key then you will not be unbanned. It will only get banned again as soon as any idiot with an aimbot and the same cracked key plays again. Get yourself a legit key and you can play all you like on any servers as long as you obey the rules.
PS I don't ban players for foul language, I text ban them or mute them. If they then misbehave I might kick them or ban them for a time if they don't get the hint.
