Fallout is an acquired tastes. If you loved the games before this one, you'll love Fallout 4. If you're new to the franchise, it would better it start near the beginning.

but i own all of them, even 1 and 2 for the pc. Fallout 4 is not as good as 3 and NV
Ehhh. The story was pretty hamfisted, it wasn't optimized very well for the PC , and the devs got lazy with adding content because they knew within a year all the nexus modders would do that for them. It's not terrible, but it should have been better.
I play the game at full ultra, and I think for its scale it looks a lot better than even other possible "could-have." Think about how good of a game release this has been compared to say Assasians Creed or both of the recent Halo titles. On consoles most new games require and additional content patch because MS was to lazy to support better disks (64gb vs 128gb) literally would have costed ~10-15 more per console, but who wants easily playable games anymore amiright.
Fallout 4 Day 0 patch was 500mb, it was literally just the files to run the equivilent of an xbox .exe to have full functionality of the game.
Halo 5 and MCC had huge patches on release, MCC was up to 10gb for some people.
