Halo CE problems

I have managed to get Halo CE working fully on my new laptop, but I have 2 problems

1. Since I am forcing 1080p, I cannot see text when I am typing. I can see the chat feed, it's just when typing

2. How can I easily force antialiasing without Halo having a fit (I may be able to solve this one on my own, but any help is appreciated)
