Microsoft have added several functions for tracking of users in Windows 10 and many people have hesitated to upgrade to Windows 10 because of this. To solve this problem, Microsoft have now implemented these tools into Windows 7 and 8 too. >:(
If your system is up to date, you should have the following 4 updates in your update history, which is sending reports to Microsoft.
KB3068708
KB3022345
KB3075249
KB3080149
If you want to uninstall them, go to Control Panel ---> System and Security ---> Windows Update ---> View update history ---> Installed updates.
To avoid these updates to get installed again, search for updates in Windows and hide them when they show up in the list of available updates. Note that KB3022345 has been renamed to KB3068708, so you will only see 3 new updates in the list.
If you want to avoid future updates like this, it is recommended to disable automatic updates in Windows by choosing any of the other options.
More information about these updates and user-tracking can be found here: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.pcworld.com/article/2978239/windows/microsoft-slips-user-tracking-tools-into-windows-7-8-amidst-windows-10-privacy-storm.html">http://www.pcworld.com/article/2978239/ ... storm.html</a><!-- m -->.
For Windows 10, it is more complicated to get rid of this since these functions are already built-in from the beginning. There are freewares available to disable this and other functions like automatic updates, but some people say it is impossible to disable because it is hardcoded into the dll-files of Windows.
