Re: The 450$ PC that can run GTA V

Doesnt really matter, unreal has no clue what he is talking about. The PSU he suggested barely meets the requirement for the 12v rail. The gtx 970 uses 120 watts at idle and a whopping 280 watts at max stress with overclock. Thats a delta of 160 w based ALONE on the gpu itself. You're going to need at least 20.83 amps since the max tdp is 280w / 12v rails. With 280 w you're looking at a 8 pin + 6 pin or the more stable alternative 8 pin + 8 pin connector. You will need each pin to deliver it's rated capacity (dont use 8 pin pcie to 6 pin adapter) dual molex to 8 pin pcie or 8+6/8+8 on DIFFERENT lanes. If not, you're going to run into instability issues or just simply a black screen on bootup.

Good luck frying your components with the subpar build quality and its meger 80 plus bronze rating haha
it's actually quite sad that unreal has no clue what he is talking about and most likely just googled up "best build for $1000 usd" and looked on amazon for the cheapest psu to compliment it. smh
