when i i try to game on 144hz it looks normal but it will lower it self slowly while i game as 144hz to 60 then more lower and goes black screen as you can hear some noises but then silent black screen and force reboot it self or stays black screen so not sure gpu or the monitor as i try old nvidia drivers and the new one and different dispaly port cables games and do the same thing still but the wierd thing i can wacth normal youtube like a cheap computer and benchmark not sure if there good on 1080 i get 15 fps on 970 gtx from msi
maybe the game your playing cant reach 144fps + so your not seeing experiencing it how it should be, or your gpu doesnt support that fast of a fresh rate?
I've heard that once 970's start to use above 3.5 gigs of VRAM it begins to throttle heavily and heat up exponentially. Does this happen if the game is capped at 60?, Do you play at 1080p or above? Does it only happen with certain games?
These are some good things to test for a certain answer to be concluded.
