I heard Jen say it has the same performance as titan x in sli for only 600 usd
(titan x in sli = 2k usd)
Finally a single gpu capable of playing at 4k@60fps

Im planning to either get a used gtx 980 ti and wait for amd's polaris/vega/nvidia's 1080 ti or just bite the nail now and get the gtx 1080 since my gtx 980 is showing age with my rog swift pg279q.
When the new cards do come out, expect the exising lineup of nvidia cards to drops rougly 50-60% in value. gtx 980 ti = 650 usd -> 300 usd, gtx 970 = 350 usd ->150 usd, gtx 960 = 150 usd -> 70 usd etc

SmG God Wrote:"only 600 usd" thanks money bags..
If only I had a job to get one... it has double the performance of the titan x and costs significantly less

I'm selling my r9 295x2 and putting that down in one. Plan on buying day one. Excited as hell. Depending on the ti performance, I might do the same after its launch.

i would expect the ti version to be the equivalent of 2 x gtx 1070 or better considering 980 ti = 2 x gtx 970
honestly i feel more inclined to get the 1070 as it seems to be a repeat of last generation, gtx 970 being the king in terms of price to performance
If the trend does continue, expect the ti version to come out Q2/Q3 2017 and cost roughly 749-799 usd or possibly less if Vega lives up to it's hype

Grabbing two founder editions if they don't sell out too quick.
Trying to sell my $2200+ desktop that has dual 970 FTW+ in it for $1650 before hand so I can grab two, and maybe grab a 1070 for my backup pc. (Kinda have about 7 desktops now... SO, yeah...)
