Never heard of a Friendship Day but if the concept is not commercial (no buying gifts, cards or other monetary influences) then I'm all for it.
It would be nice to have a day where you can thank all of those people that have become your friends no matter how obnoxious, bad tempered or just plain weird you are.
So my friends thank you for being my friends.

But if it is commercial then the idiot that thought up this can go to the hell of a thousand paper cuts followed by a bath in lemon juice.
