Who said what time and place of jedi or hogwarts we come into, these timelines have existed for centuries.
Again it would make sense to have the timelines from when the movies started and ended. If I said I was going to be a Jedi after the defeat of the Galactic Empire that would be dumb due to the fact there isn't any challenge you would be in. All known sith are killed and you are the very few with the force. You would be OP is ****.
For Hogwarts it goes the same. No real challenge because nothing really happened after the Battle of Hogwarts.
So if you chose Jedi you start as a Padawan. Same time Naboo gets Invaded by the Trade Federation.
If Hogwarts than you start your first year. Same time as Harry enters Hogwarts his first time.
Thats just dumb and very limiting.
How is that dumb? What you want to create infinite loop holes due to the fact you can choose the past or modern time? Adding these time frames actually makes people think when choosing Hogwarts or Jedi. It gives a consequence for each one.
Heck if there was no timeline. I could come up with something bullshit like I found a portal that took me to another dimension. Now here I am at the modern time ruling everyone with my Jedi power.
