Title: Left Behind

Walking through the now empty rooms, once filled with laughter and joy, I find myself lost in the memories, to only knock my leg against the table, and have its screech, echo through the house. I come back to my senses, to only find sadness fill my heart, as a tear rolls down my cheek, and drops on the dusty floor. Was it worth it? I ask myself, to be the only one alive, to have witnessed the murder of my family right before my eyes. To live through it is a greater pain than witnessing it. The memories flow through my mind, no matter how much I isolate myself, the same answer rings in my head, the constant reminder that I shouldn't have been the only one alive.
