Everybody here gave pretty good advice on how to lose weight so I can't add much on diet and working out. I usually go to the gym 5 days a week trying to emphasize each part of body such as legs, arms, chest, shoulders, and back. Back workout is important and I recommend having somebody with experience to show you how to work them out cuz like 40% of people don't know how to do back workouts properly. But do some cardio and then some weightlifting. 

The most important thing is you have to be consistent. You can't slack no matter what your mind tells you. You go to the gym for yourself. Workout for a good year and you'll find that motivation when you check yourself in the mirror. I mean that's what motivates me I'm a very skinny guy and I don't eat a lot so I'm just lean which is something I need to fix xD. But if I stop working out I'll lose the muscles mass that I worked so hard to gain. Just workout everyday and you'll see results.
