Why do people tease/make fun of people for playing ROBLOX, Minecraft, etc...

I just don't get why you would be so much of an asshole to a person who is usually going to be just a child aged between 9 and 14, it seems like an ugly thing to do for no good reason. I would just really like to know what the inside joke is or what the motives are.
