Waffles are better than pancakes
Waffles got those pockets to hold the butter and syrup, pancakes got that flat nothing
Pancakes can be filled with a sauce or fruit/whatever of your choice. I had chocolate chip covered pancakes with a chocolatey filling smeared with peanut butter as a kid. Kind of hard to change my mind with that whole "Oh, waffles got these small pockets in em", nonsense.
You can fill the pockets of waffles with fillings too... hmmmm... maybe I like the structure of waffles better than pancakes. they seem a bit more rigid if that makes sense. not like crunchy or crispy or anything, just not as soft or floppy as pancakes.
anything you can put in pancake batter you can put in waffle batter AND waffles have little pockets for extra fun.... clearly superior
Waffles kind of need an iron to make, unlike pancakes. You can make a pancake the size of a blanket in the time it takes to prepare a waffle half of that. You can keep your "pockets", need em for your tears to moisten up those cheap Eggos anyways.
waffles are nice
