AVG is like a virus itself, not in the aspect that it does anything bad, that you can't disable it if you need to, or stop it for a few minutes, and it's a pain the anus to remove.

I have never had a virus, I use Malwarebytes (PRO), and Microsoft Security Essentials, as long as you have legitimate Windows then MSE is free. If it says something is a virus, it is. There are very rarely any false-positives.

Don't use Avast, ever. It's a memory whore. It flags anything as a virus and makes you shit yourself.
