So I've had a Dell D630 for about 4 years now. (That's not the joke)

But, the other day, I get a call from the office. I had it deployed as a backup machine for one of our employees. But, she calls me and says that it's not charging anymore. So, I guessed it was just the battery.

But, today, I get another call, saying the WiFi card isn't working. And when I walked in, it won't power on anymore.

So, now I'm scratching my head going WTF. I cracked it open, I didn't see anything unusually, but I find it strange that the machine won't power on without a battery. It won't work on AC.

I'm guessing the power port just blew. What do you guys think?

(For those who know, this wasn't in any way my game rig. Couldn't play solitaire without a little struggle.)

UPDATE: So, here's an update for ya. The motherboard is shot. So, Im ordering a new motherboard, plus some thermal pads to replace on the heatsink. FUUUUUUUUUUN STUFF!

It's gonna suck to replace though.
