When I was in the first grade, every day after school I'd come back to watch DBZ and eat spring rolls because we finally had cable and you could only get it on Cartoon Network.

For a couple years they'd only run it til the end of the Frieza Saga and then restart. Right before they premiered the Android Saga, we cut the cable because we couldn't afford it. My brother would bike to his friend's house to watch it, and when he came back he'd tell me what happened in that episode.

I found out years and years later when I actually watched through the show that he made everything up. All of it. He created an entire new storyline with the same characters. It stuck with me for so long that even though I've seen the whole thing, and read the entire Dragonball manga start to finish, I still confuse it with the story he told me.
