If you haven't already, you should watch Overlord! Perfect for us gamers heh. 

It's about a dude that logs into an old mmo on the day that the servers are shutting down. When the server is supposed to log him out, he instead gets locked into the game which turns into a living, breathing world (npcs run off script and have their own consciousness now, etc). I don't want to give any more away so that's all I'll say haha. If you were an mmorpg junkie like me, I'd highly recommend the series! There's a lot of things that mmo players will sympathize with haha
