Respect a meaningful day

So, today, 11 September, 17 years ago was a day no man or woman will forget. 3 airliners were hijacked that day, two that struck the twin towers, and the third that struck the Pentagon.

Many lives were taken that day, both in Manhattan as well as all the passengers and staff on the airliners.
These terrorists who took committed such acts were trying to send a message.

Fear is power, fear controls the weak.
The powerful control the powerless.
The powerless wouldn't stand a chance.

They were wrong.
That day, both men and women of the emergency services, all over NY and out of state came to help the victims, the emergency response teams.
Hundreds ran away from the danger that had fallen upon them. But there were those who were committed to their job, saving lives.
Many firefighters and officers died whilst trying to evacuate the towers.

That day is a reminder to all emergency services around the country. Fear is power, but bravery and hope will always win.
People who make fun of an event that changed the world, need to seek help.
Anything from WWI to the latest ISIS related attacks.

Terrorists think they can control people with fear, but they don't realize that with fear, there's always someone brave enough to stand up, to do something about it.
Fear doesn't have power. Respect, bravery and hope does

Bravery is something that should be admired, embraced, respected.
Loss of any number of lives should be respected, supported.
