The short answer, nothing.

The long answer, we simply haven't seen any strong potential candidates in the past couple of months. Although I can't state of certain whether or not we will have one in the first month of the new year, I can say that we are always nominating members of consideration. 
Recently we've added the option into the MotM votes to includes the 'None of the above' option which for most staff has always been the favourable pick. But don't be disheartened. I can say with confidence that there are members coming close to beating out that option. For those curious/wishing to be nominated, below are few key ideas towards achieving that fancy 'MotM:

1. Stay active
This goes for both forums and the Discord. Not only does this alert us to the presence of your existence, but also put forth the idea that you have put down time and effort into contributing to the community. And even if that doesn't nominate you, it will also give us a possible candidacy towards promotions as well. Either way, being active won't do you harm.

2. Be friendly and helpful (no drama)
Although activity is important, you must also be friendly and helpful. Starting drama won't help you. If you kindly refer people to those of the appropriate rank to deal with issues and report problematic users, we will be grateful and again keep you in mind for future MotM nominations.
(Although this is intuitive, you'd be surprised how many members follow the first option and not the second which I've listed)
