I'm genuinely intrigued. I've heard many say "I need to take time off of SmG to get my school supplies" and I honestly thought they were bullshitting. Turns out, people actually do buy school supplies and spend hundreds sometimes   What does this typically include? 

I don't know if it's just in the UK, I'm from London, but make no mistake that the society would probably be deemed as working class/poor, but even then, schools usually had the usual glue, rulers, protractors etc. If not, I used to buy pens etc. from school for like 5p, 10p at most.

So, what do people actually buy? If it's reading material, majority of the reading material can be found on the internet, so why not the latter?
