As i was trying to get referrals for scout rank, i often found that people are scared of the link. This lead me to the idea of having a referral code instead of a link. I know what you are thinking, we already have our codes ands they are the last numbers of our profile link. However, when someone is going to dm a person who is unregistered, they could give the code to type into the register or apply forum. No links = No potential hacks. This solves the issue for both the referrer and the person registering. We wouldn't have to get rid of the link but we would potentially just add the code. Ive never seen anyone being afraid of the links tbh, until recently I met a guy on another server. We VCed for sometime and played some minecraft. He was chill and I tried to recruit him. He created an account but he was not sure of applying cuz he was "a bit nervous of the links" to quote his exact reply. But that was one out of 72 of referrals.





About your idea. Even if we stick to referral codes they are gonna have to sign up here using a link. And if they cant find the apply section we are still gonna have to give them a link. I dont see how referral codes solves the problem. Forgive me, if Im being stupid. It just doesnt ring a bell.
