Hollow Knight is getting a sequel (hopefully soon) called Hollow Knight: Silksong and I highly recommend playing it before Silksong comes out. It's one of the best metroidvanias EVER and everything about it amazes me. The hand drawn art style really catches your eye from its dark colour pallette illuminated by the corruption seeping into the world. The bleak first area leaves a bit to be desired but leads onto an area plentiful with life and the beauty Hallownest can offer. The world is littered with a cast of interesting and charming characters with dark pasts in this failed kingdom running quickly out of time. The music strongly accents the rest of the game with its calm melodies as you wander the leafy green forests of Greenpath, or turns suspenseful as you traverse the depths of Deepnest. During battles, the music becomes an encouraging orchestra, urging you to go on, breaking away from the quiet of the rest of the game. Even though you are playing a faceless knight with no emotions, something is urging you on.
