The misuse of words in the engish language is horrendous these days... here are a few examples of mistakes used in general chat...

Period of time: A period is a measurement of time... therefore you are saying time of time or period of period...

ATM Machine: ATM stands for Automatic Teller Machine... so by saying ATM Machine you are quite literally repeating yourself...

Dumb: Adjective: Lacks the ability of speech... so unless you are talking about a person who can't speak then don't use the term dumb...

Bitch: Noun: A female dog... so unless the target in question is a female dog... don't use it...

Bastard: Noun: A child born outside of wedlock... also known as the parents weren't married at the time of birth...
