Chess is a sport, I can't see how E-sports can't be sports, it's literally the same - there may be minimum physical effort, but there is mental skill involved.
E-sports has been certified by the U.S as a real sport and people can get sport VISA's for being an E-sport athlete
There are prizes, there are people who play for fun, there are people who play competitively, there are people who play professionally.
Even though it may not lead to physical exhaustion, I am certain that it can indeed be called a real sport.

In that case, me walking to McDonald's to become obese and having a risk of diabetes would be classified as a sport due to me walking. I think that video games should have its own classification rather than being classified as a sport
