i really dont care for your opinion nickomatic i dont care if its last gen or not its probly better than the setup you run. and are you A+ certified to build/repair pc's my guess is no but i am i like the card imo it wasent a waste of money when your net income is 250k+ a yr and you have A1 credit wtf not blow the money ya herd ill tell ya what you may think its a waste but imo so is alienware shit ppl buy one and there 4k for a pos pc that costs 600 bucks tops to build so take ur comments elsewhere 8-]

Ehhh, well, actually I do build computers, and it stands as my hobby to overclock and mod them. You don't need certification to put a computer together, anyway; and I can't tell if your post was even meant to show off or not. Anywhoo, the only gain you get out of that GPU is basically bragging rights, because it isn't mass produced, like the Golden Edition MSI 465s. If you found two GTX 580s open box you could've gotten the deal of a lifetime, and it probably would've kicked that 5970. The stock 580 vs the stock 5970 already puts the single-GPU card nipping at its heels, and you can't put 4 5970's in Xfire. Hell, I even would've waited for the 6990.

almost seems the only graphics card i can have right now cause of this hp i have i dont know if i can go any higher or not

Due to the way the cards are designed, it can only use one card's-worth of vram. Ask anyone intelligent about computers and they will tell you that. So you're effectively "only" getting 4gb vram, not 8gb, if you choose to do crossfire with these cards, which is a massive pain in the ass itself due to the drivers being terribly designed and extremely unopitmized.

Your power supply will be MORE THAN ENOUGH for any of these cards, and probably be fine if you wanted to crossfire/SLI them.
