Bravo, no, it must be spherical ... Asteroid(s) / Meteor(s) aren't general even round and are giant chunks of rocks, which used to be planets (probably), or will be planets (eventually).
Also, a planet needs it own gravity, without gravity or the gravity being too work makes it not a planet, the gravitation force must be a certain amount or it is not a "planet". Most are in belts, larger asteroids are planetoids, they are technically planets, just too small to have the justification of "planet" applied to them.
Although I learned all this shit when I was like 12, so I am not sure on what is completely true or not. xD
Uhm. I would like to believe its 9 but the true answer is 8. I will say 9 cause knowing that, i grew up and would not feel normal if any old fact is changed.
I bet it is a reason for many of you all :)
