1v1's mean almost literally nothing in competitive halo for anyone wondering. It's a different monster all together. I've 1v1ed plenty of terrible kids that just camp corners the whole time (not that they win, but it makes them think they're good). A good halo player knows when and where to go to support the TEAM as a whole.
Unless of course it's FFA, then it's just who can steal kills and sit in the back the most.

True Story. I can't say MLG settings would make the best player since most don't play it and I'm too boss at it not to be auto first. This is really too general of a question to answer.
MLG settings is more harder for me because I have to get the weapons I need and that is what I suck at. Don't get a chance to get the weapons I need like a sniper.
