If your talking hardware wise, I would suggest a:

1) A processor higher than 2.0GHz (thats for games)
2) Windows 7 OS (Home premium is good)
3) HP, Alienware or Toshiba
4) Intel i5 or higher (generally i3 is good too)
5) 15 inch resolution

I meet 1,2,3, and 4. But my computer is still not a gaming computer.

^With high as quality specs, it still doesn't have to be a gaming comp. It could be used for high tech programs for engineers and architects for example.
