RE: I gots mines' Gtx 1080
your eyes should only be focused on the middle monitor, the other two are just aiding your peripheral vision

You'd have to if you had 3 34" ultrawide unless you sat away from them, I see no point in that much estate unless you had them in a racing simulator rig.

RE: I gots mines' Gtx 1080
actually no, the other two displays aid in your peripheral vision as i said earlier
it just provides better immersion as they're too stretched out to see anything useful; aside from rts games

ONLY in titles that support CF(AND with graphics tuned down), not that many recent games really do, DX12 has good support for it, but the devs have to add that support in. Rather have One beefy card vs 2 when you'd be guaranteed to use the full power of your card 100% of the time, instead of hoping you could use the dual setup and miss out in titles.
ALSO, the proof of being better vs the 1080 with the Ashes games, they used Low/Med graphics on TWO 480's vs the 1080 running at High/Max.
=============================
Instead of $500 for dual 480, just drop $380 or so on a single 1070 and save the rest for a good ssd or something

RE: I gots mines' Gtx 1080
How do you know that aots was running on low settings?
Dx12 is the future, considering pascal barely runs faster then the fury/fury x in dx12 titles since they dont have async compute and nvidia rely on raw processing power.
