@lich yea, we got night school. Its for the dipshits who go back to highschool when they're over the age limit for day school. That and stupid ass kids that basically drop out of day school. Though there are some who are there because they need too many credits that summer school cant make up, but not enough credits to fill in an entire year of day school, like me.

Overal we need 24 credits. Each class we take is 1 credit. And we take 7-8 classes a year. Some classes don't have a credit like Study hall.

Beasty, there is summer school for both make-up course and a new course over here don't know about The states though.

yeah in high school it's called reinforcement or acceleration courses
basically you can take a course to improve your mark or take it so you wont need to take it next term

Well over here we get 2.5 credits for a semester class and 5.0 for a full class. To graduate you need like 130 credits. Our study hall doesn't give credits and School to Career gives 10. But the ammount of credits you have a year adds to about 40. That way even if you fail some classes in your four years, you can still pass given that they aren't required courses.

In canada you need to have 40 credits which compose of compulsory (math/english etc) and elective (accounting, art design, gym etc). If you take summer/night/extracurricular you can graduate a full year earlier. But everyone usually uses their four years as everyone goes to post secondary...
