Just because a song is iconic doesn't make it worthy of that noteriety by default. Poker Face by the Tranny Lady could be considered iconic despite the fact that it is a horrible fucking song (I think we can all agree on that much.) The problem is whats popular is never what sane people consider noteworthy. Thats because media induces the sucess of degenerative art by idealizing those idiodic enough to fathom that supporting trending materials for the sake of acceptance by what is percieved to be the mainstream is a rational choice. This way the industry can maximize profit by churning out half assed products and giving them a glamorous appeal so they can leech off of self loathing egotistical fucks and their wealth while putting out minimal ammounts of effort or their own revenue.
And we wonder why its been said that only idiots listen to the radio anymore.
